The tuition for the course is $1,800. We offer a payment plan

The fee for the textbook and workbook bundle ($155) is not included. The Basics of SPD Textbook and Workbook 7th Edition Bundle is purchased directly from Sterile Processing University.

The fee for the national exam ($125-$138) is also NOT included. The fee for the exam gets paid when you send in your application, which will be closer to the exam date.

The program is 11 weeks long and we cover one chapter per week. (There are 11 chapters in the Basics of SPD Textbook- 7th Edition)

Right now due to COVID-19 we are only conducting online classes. 

Yes, you will be meeting with an actual instructor virtually where you have the opportunity to review the chapter you have just completed, go over any questions about the quizzes, or cover any questions you have about the course itself. We hold two live virtual sessions a week, and will accommodate any student who needs to meet outside of these two scheduled times.

Yes, you will be given a quiz after every chapter. You will get 11 quizzes and one practice exam that will mimic the national certification exam.

Yes, you will be provided access to videos that will help you understand the chapters you will be reading.

Yes, the Ramirez Institute of Sterile Processing will provide you with a course completion certificate that will allow you to take the C.S.P.D.T. (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) certification exam.

The C.S.P.D.T. certification exam is usually in February, May, August and November. When the time comes, we will go over every step of applying to take the exam.

No, there will be no hands-on experience provided; this virtual course will prepare you for the National Certification Board Exam which contains 125 multiple choice questions.

Unfortunately, because this is not a credit course, we are not allowed to accept any forms of tuition assistance.

Yes, we will accept payments from employers on your behalf. Usually the student will pay out of pocket and get reimbursed when they complete the course.

While we do not offer job placement, we will help with job references and will look over your resume to ensure it is in good condition for you to start applying for jobs in your new career.
